What is ArtCraft?
Its makers call ArtCraft “the IDE for artists”. Most AI image tools give you a prompt box and hope for the best. ArtCraft adds a canvas and a 3D stage: you arrange cutouts, backdrops, 3D meshes, and posed characters, set the camera, and then let an image or video model render the shot.
It is a Rust and Tauri desktop app for Windows and macOS with a matching web version, and the code is published on GitHub under the MIT or Apache-2.0 license. Inside, one interface connects to dozens of models from different providers.

ArtCraft FAQ
What is ArtCraft AI?
ArtCraft is an open-source desktop and web studio for AI image and video creation. Instead of relying on text prompts alone, it lets you compose scenes in 2D and 3D, pose characters, and place the camera before a model renders the result.
Is ArtCraft free?
The app is free to download and its source code is open on GitHub. Generations cost money because the AI models do: you can buy ArtCraft credit plans, or connect your own provider API keys and existing subscriptions.
Which platforms does ArtCraft run on?
Official builds are available for macOS (a universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. There is also a browser version at app.getartcraft.com. Linux users currently need to build from source.
Who makes ArtCraft?
ArtCraft is developed by the ArtCraft team, whose contact address is on the storyteller.ai domain, together with open-source contributors. The code lives in the storytold/artcraft repository on GitHub.
Is this the official ArtCraft website?
No. ArtCraft Tips is an independent guide. The official website is getartcraft.com and the official source code is github.com/storytold/artcraft.
